On May 22, 2025, the "Shandong Navigation Society School Enterprise Joint Cultivation of High Quality Crew Team Seminar and Weizhihai University Navigation College 2025 Graduates Campus Double Selection Conference" hosted by Shandong Navigation Society and organized by Weihai Vocational College and Sheng'an Shipping was grandly held at the Academic Conference Center of Weihai Vocational College.
This event brings together industry leaders, renowned experts, corporate executives, and outstanding alumni to explore the path of cultivating shipping talents under the new situation, injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of the shipping industry. At present, the international trade situation is complex and ever-changing, and the transformation of intelligent and green shipping is accelerating. The structural shortage of crew members and the demand for skill upgrading are becoming increasingly urgent. In this context, the theme of this seminar is "Opportunities and Challenges Faced by the Construction of a High Quality Seafarer Team under the Background of Tariff Wars, International Trade, and the Trend of Intelligent Greening". The aim is to deepen the integration of industry and education, unite the strength of schools and enterprises, and jointly cultivate high-quality maritime talents that meet the needs of the industry.
The event attracted more than 90 shipping companies, industry associations, as well as representatives from maritime authorities, the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Shandong Navigation Society, and teachers and students from universities to participate, and the atmosphere on site was lively. Sheng'an Shipping actively played the role of the organizer in the event. Tan Yuyin, the manager of the shipping department of the company, discussed key issues such as the crew market situation and introduced the company's development history, business scope, and other contents.

At around 11:00 am on October 26, 2021, the captain of Sheng'an Shipping's "New Life 3" vessel reported to the company headquarters that the large vessel on board suddenly suffered from angina pectoris. Despite taking the Quick acting Heart Saving Pill, the pain was still unbearable and even unable to move, urgently requiring treatment.
The company immediately activated the emergency plan and contacted emergency doctors for medical guidance. The doctors initially determined that it was not a heart problem, but rather a problem with gastric perforation or gallstones. After learning of the situation, the person in charge of Sheng'an Shipping made a decisive decision, putting people first and saving lives at all costs, and immediately contacted the Beihai Rescue Bureau of the Ministry of Transport.
After receiving the information, the Beihai Rescue Bureau of the Ministry of Transport quickly arranged rescue planes to pick up the patient at 13:21 and arranged for 120 ambulances to wait at Yantai Airport in advance. Upon receiving the patient, they were immediately sent to Penglai Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital. After timely treatment, the patient's vital signs have stabilized and they are receiving further treatment at the hospital.

On the morning of November 11, 2022, the commissioning ceremony of the first CCS classified firefighting ship "Wei Xiao Tuo 1" in Weihai was held grandly at the Jinling Shipyard of Weihai Merchants. Leaders from the district management committee, the municipal maritime safety work team, Weihai Maritime Safety Bureau, and other relevant organizations attended the entry ceremony.
The "Wei Xiao Tuo 1" vessel was invested and built by Weihai Port Shipping Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sheng'an Shipping. It took one and a half years from proposal, design, manufacturing to final delivery, with a total investment of RMB 46 million. It is the first CCS classified firefighting ship in the jurisdiction of Weihai, equipped with FIFI-I firefighting function and a fully revolving firefighting ship with a tail trailer. The main engine power is 5600 horsepower, and the towing force can reach 62 tons. The water output per hour reaches 2800 cubic meters within an effective range of 125 meters.
After the commissioning of the "Wei Xiao Tuo 1" vessel, the maritime emergency rescue capability of Weihai Port Shipping and Barge Co., Ltd. has been comprehensively improved, further enhancing the maritime firefighting capability within the jurisdiction of Weihai, effectively improving the emergency level of handling maritime emergencies in Weihai, and providing necessary safety guarantees for more than 100000 transit and entry/exit ships every year. At the same time, after the "Weixiaotuo 1" ship was officially put into use, it also served as an internship base for the Maritime Technology College of Weihai Vocational College, making due contributions to the training of local maritime talents, especially maritime rescue talents. The addition of the "Weixiao Tu1" vessel further enhances the strength of Weihai Port Shipping and Barge Co., Ltd. The company has 7 tugboats, laying a solid foundation for the company's sustainable development and the prosperity of Weihai's shipping industry.

On December 6, 2024, the fifth general meeting of Weihai Port and Shipping Association was held. The meeting voted to officially rename the association as Weihai Transportation and Logistics Association, and elected a new president, vice president, director, and supervisor of the association. Comrade Xin Hua, Secretary of the Party Branch of Weihai Sheng'an Shipping Co., Ltd., was elected as the President of the Association.
The Weihai Transportation and Logistics Association is a city wide, industry-specific, non-profit organization voluntarily formed by enterprises related to ports, shipping, airports, railways, postal services, and logistics transportation throughout the city under the guidance of the Weihai Transportation Bureau, Weihai Administrative Approval Service Bureau, and Weihai Civil Affairs Bureau. Comrade Xin Hua's election is not only a recognition of his personal abilities, but also a high affirmation of the influence and contribution of Sheng'an Shipping in the industry.

On August 14, 2024, Guo Sheng, Secretary General of the Secretariat of Weihai Arbitration Commission, led a team to visit and conduct research at Sheng'an Shipping Co., Ltd. in Weihai City. Jia Jianwei, President of Weihai Ocean Arbitration Institute, accompanied the delegation. Sun Zhijun, Chairman of Sheng'an Shipping Co., Ltd., and relevant department heads attended the meeting and conducted on-site communication.
During the discussion, Chairman Sun Zhijun introduced the company's development history, project operations, and other related information. Jia Jianwei, President of Weihai Ocean Arbitration Institute, introduced the construction and development plan of the institute. Secretary General Yu Guosheng stated that arbitration is an important way of resolving maritime disputes and plays a significant role in shipping affairs. Compared to other dispute resolution methods, arbitration has the characteristics of confidentiality, professionalism, efficiency, and international acceptance. The Ocean Arbitration Institute of Weihai Arbitration Commission can meet the diverse, efficient, and convenient needs of maritime enterprises to resolve conflicts and disputes.
